life lately…busy decor

I was in such a good groove of posting last year after the wedding, but lately, I’ve had a bit of a lifestyle shift in my day-to-day. (I will save the boring details for later!)

But I am finally back! It took me a minute to shake off the post-holiday blues, I honestly get so obsessed with Christmas that I spent the first week of January in tears. It takes me a full month to recover every single year. But, we move on!

Now that the decorations are packed away, I’m in full-swing nesting mode. My house feels so bare without the holiday maximalism (I had a lot up this year!), so I’m trying to "speedy decorate" to fill the void. Lately, I’ve been surprisingly obsessed with animal print, very 2007 of me.

I’m really into layering right now: mixing prints on prints, adding collected finds, lamps, and wall art. I'm especially loving distinct materials like burl wood and wrought iron. The struggle is that my style is "collected.” Which usually can't be done in a day, but I’ve been scouring FB Marketplace to speed up the process.

I’ve been following Lisa Sokol, and she is an interiors GENIUS. She takes so many risks in her design, mixing patterns and vibes, yet somehow everything looks meant for one another. I love it so so much!
