I’m going to start by being totally honest: this happens to me every single year. The second the weather turns and the first day of Spring hits, I basically sprint to the library.

I start hoarding "summer reads" and queueing up The Summer I Turned Pretty for the 342,347,623rd time. (And no sis, I will not be taking questions on my watch count at this time. LOL)
This Spring, the hyper-fixation hit a new level. I re-read Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, the show is coming out in July - EEEEK! Then I followed it up with One Golden Summer, This Summer Will Be Different and honestly? I just went off the deep end into a total summer book spiral.
I became officially obsessed with "Cottage Country Core," think weathered docks, oversized sweatshirts, dips in a chilly lake, and the specific magic of lake houses.
the vision
Naturally, I told Blake that we NEED a family lake cottage one day. Like, it’s a requirement for our future. I’ve already started the Pinterest board because, in true "me" fashion, if I’m going to do something, I’m going to get slightly obsessive about it.
Current Mood: Manifesting a life where my biggest daily decision is "coffee on the porch or a dip in the lake?"
